Job summary

National University Polyclinics seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide care in inpatient and/or outpatient settings within an integrated general hospital environment. The role includes clinical supervision, research supervision, and contributing to professional education as required.

You will assess and manage patients, implement treatment plans, document progress, and participate in administrative duties while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Recognised Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Interest in geriatrics, neurology (including rehab med caseload such as patients with stroke and brain injury), orthopedics (including hand therapy) & Palliative Care; prior experience in any areas is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well in a team and also independently.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients referred for occupational therapy independently
• Implement appropriate treatment plans and comply to clinical standards
• Provide timely review of patients in the continuum of care
• Document patient’s progress and records accurately
• Involve in administrative duties such as charging, statistics collation.
• Communicate and collaborate with other healthcare members in the multi-disciplinary team
• Participate and assist in managing clinical and/or service initiatives
• Assist in providing clinical education of occupational therapy students
