Job summary

A well-established landscape company in Singapore is seeking a team leader for horticultural operations. Overview

Well Established Landscape Company

Salary range: $3500 - $5000

Working hours: 8am – 5pm (Monday – Friday), 8am – 12pm (Saturday)

Location: Various location in Singapore

Job Scope
  • Lead a team of supervisors, in-house landscape specialists, and technicians to meet both daily and strategic landscaping goals. Provide onboarding, training, and performance guidance to new team members.

  • Oversee daily horticulture tasks by in-house teams and contractors, including planting, pruning, mulching, watering, nutrient management, and weeding. Monitor the maintenance of landscape equipment and irrigation systems and manage overall watering regimes across sites.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess contractor performance, ensuring adherence to contract specifications and quality standards. Manage compliance with workplace safety and health regulations, performing risk assessments and responding to on-site incidents as needed.

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, feedback, and updates on landscaping projects. Coordinate with officers, management agents, and stakeholders for work arrangements, site meetings, and inspections.

  • Plan daily and monthly schedules for horticultural activities, resource allocation, and ad-hoc projects, including tree pruning, debris collection, and landscaping enhancements.

  • Prepare essential reports, including schedules, maintenance records, and service documentation for management. Manage contracts, initiate tenders and pre-condition reports, procure materials (local and abroad), and recommend landscape enhancements and cost-effective solutions within approved budgets.

  • Develop creative landscape solutions and conservation initiatives and support sustainability and digitisation efforts to improve productivity and operational efficiency.

  • Enforce safety protocols across landscaping operations, ensuring team members follow safe practices and comply with health and safety regulations.

  • Assist with ad-hoc sales initiatives, preparing PowerPoint presentations for meetings and proposals on landscape enhancement projects.

Requirements
  • Diploma in Horticulture / Landscape Architecture or related field.

  • 3 years’ experience in horticulture or landscaping.

  • Accreditation as Certified Practising Horticulturist (CPH) will be advantageous.
