A local culinary company in Singapore is hiring a Local Cuisine Chef to prepare and cook various local dishes including Laksa and Hainanese Chicken Rice. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in Singaporean, Malaysian, or Chinese cuisine and possesses a Food Hygiene Certificate. The role includes managing kitchen operations and developing new dishes. Salary is competitive, ranging from S$2,300 to S$3,300, with benefits including staff meals and accommodation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of Singapore local dishes such as Laksa, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Curry Rice, Lor Mee, Satay, and Char Kway Teow.
  • Manage kitchen operations, ensure timely and consistent food quality.
  • Participate in menu development and new dish creation based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Oversee food preparation, stock management, and cost control.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with SFA food hygiene and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Singaporean, Malaysian, or Chinese cuisine.
  • Fast, clean, efficient and consistent in cooking.
  • Passionate about food, responsible, and able to handle busy operations.
  • Possession of Food Hygiene Certificate preferred.
  • Able to work independently; menu R&D experience is a plus.
Salary & Benefits
