JOB SUMMARY

The Hip Hop Teacher& Programme Executive is a dual-role position combining high-quality hip hop teaching with programme coordination and execution responsibilities. The role supports the delivery, development, and growth of Crestar’s hip hop programmes by teaching structured classes, preparing students for performances and examinations, and working closely with HQ and centres on curriculum, enrolment, events, and departmental initiatives. This position is suited for passionate hip hop educators who are organised, collaborative, and keen to develop programme management capabilities.

JOB ROLE
Hip Hop Programme
  • Plan and deliver structured hip hop lessons aligned with Crestar’s curriculum and teaching standards.

  • Conduct classes and learning activities in accordance with HQ guidelines and approved lesson plans.

  • Prepare and coach students for performances, examinations, and competitions.

  • Engage parents through showcases, parent-teacher meetings, and regular communication to support student progress and retention.

  • Guide and support centre Operations personnel on dance-related matters and class execution.

  • Monitor student attendance, retention, and conversion trends, and provide input to support enrolment growth.

Programme Planning & Execution Support
  • Support the design and implementation of dance course plans in collaboration with dance professionals and the Dance Manager.

  • Assist in market and competitor research (e.g. area demand, curriculum trends, competitor offerings) and consolidate findings for review.

  • Track and analyse dance enrolment data, attendance, and dropout trends; prepare reports and recommendations to improve intake and retention.

  • Coordinate and support dance department meetings, including preparation of materials, minutes, and follow-up actions.

  • Assist in budget tracking and expenditure monitoring for the dance department.

Programme Management & Quality Support
  • Support the planning and execution of dance programme initiatives in collaboration with HQ and centre teams.

  • Assist in the development, review, and enhancement of dance curriculum, syllabi, and training manuals.

  • Contribute to the professional development of local and overseas instructors through mentoring, training support, and knowledge sharing.

  • Support the implementation of departmental systems, policies, and SOPs to ensure consistent programme delivery across centres.

  • Collaborate with internal departments (Operations, Marketing, Academic) on cross-functional initiatives.

Events & Projects
  • Work with HQ to organise and execute concerts, recitals, examinations, and competitions.

  • Choreograph and prepare students for performances, including coordination of rehearsals, costumes, music, and props.

  • Lead or support special projects such as exchange programmes, workshops, and holiday dance camps.

  • Provide on-site support during major events to ensure smooth execution and positive participant experience.

Human Resource & Assets Coordination
  • Support HQ in the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of quality hip hop teachers.

  • Support teacher and staff manpower planning through scheduling, allocation, and administrative coordination.

  • Assist in monitoring teacher performance indicators and support appraisal and feedback processes.

  • Coordinate training, documentation, and staff development activities as guided by the Dance Manager.

  • Maintain and track course-related assets and resources to ensure proper usage and availability.

Branding & Marketing Support
  • Support marketing initiatives by providing programme information, schedules, and content inputs.

  • Assist in coordination of marketing campaigns, events, and outreach activities to drive enquiries and enrolment.

  • Collect feedback from centres and customers to support ongoing brand and programme improvement.

Job Requirements:
Experience & Qualifications

· Proven experience in teaching hip hop to children, teens, as well as adults at beginner to advanced levels.

· Strong background in hip-hop or street dance styles.

· Experience in dance education, enrichment programmes, arts administration, or programme coordination is an advantage.

· A track of record winning recognised competitions is an advantage.

· Diploma in Dance is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

· Strong knowledge of hip hop/street dance techniques, terminology, and performance practices.

· Ability to choreograph and prepare students for examinations, performances, and competitions.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to engage and motivate students.

· Strong project management capability, with organisational, coordination skills and attention to detail.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint (presentation preparation), Excel (data tracking and basic analysis), and Word (documentation and reports).

· Good written and verbal communication skills; able to engage parents, teachers, and internal teams professionally.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and stakeholders in a structured environment.

· Basic data tracking and reporting skills (e.g. enrolment, attendance, retention).
