Job summary

MARINA 2049 PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced High-Performance Coach to lead player development for elite and age-group squads (U14–Open Age, men’s and women’s). This hands-on role includes developing individualized plans, running high-intensity sessions and building seasonal systems across Singapore.

You will mentor junior coaches, conduct video analysis, manage match reports, and collaborate with S&C and a sports psychologist to optimize performance and wellbeing of players.

Qualifications

• ICC Level 2 or equivalent national board certification.
• Proven ability to design and run structured development programmes.
• Proficiency with coaching equipment and video analysis tools.
• Strong English communication for players, parents and management.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver individualized player development plans across technical, tactical, physical and mental aspects.
• Plan and run high-performance training across batting, bowling, fielding and wicketkeeping, including match-scenario work.
• Build annual season plans with monthly and weekly blocks and periodization.
• Conduct video analysis and profiling; provide quarterly feedback to players, parents and management.
• Own match reports and translate findings into the next training cycle.
• Collaborate with Strength & Conditioning and psychology teams on workload and mental conditioning.
• Deliver classroom sessions on tactics, decision-making and mental skills.
• Mentor junior and assistant coaches; run development workshops and manage workload.
• Support talent identification, trials and scholarship selection.
• Represent the academy at camps, tours and inter-club/school fixtures.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced High-Performance Coach to lead player development for our elite and age-group squads (U14 through Open Age, men's and women's). This is a hands-on coaching role with a strong programmed-design component: you'll own individual development plans, run high-intensity skill and match-scenario sessions, and build the systems that track and improve player performance across a season.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver individualized player development plans covering technical, tactical, physical and mental components
• Plan and run high-performance training sessions across batting, bowling, fielding and wicketkeeping, including middle-wicket practice, open nets and match-scenario work
• Build annual season plans broken down into monthly and weekly blocks, with clear periodization around the competition calendar
• Conduct video analysis and athlete profiling; deliver structured feedback to players, parents and management through quarterly performance reviews
• Own match report management - maintain a consistent reporting format capturing technical and behavioral markers, and translate findings into the next training cycle
• Work with the Strength & Conditioning coach on workload monitoring, particularly bowler workloads, and with the team psychologist on mental conditioning
• Deliver classroom sessions on tactical awareness, decision-making and mental skills
• Mentor and develop junior and assistant coaches: run coach development workshops, assign session responsibilities and manage coaching workload distribution
• Support talent identification, trials and scholarship selection
• Represent the academy at camps, tours and inter-club/school fixtures

Requirements

Essential

• ICC Level 2 (or equivalent national board Level 2/3 certification, e.g. ECB Level 3, CA Level 2, BCCI Level 2)
• Minimum 5 years' coaching experience, including at least 2 years in a high-performance or state/national age-group environment
• Demonstrated ability to design and run structured, season-long development programmes
• Proficiency with coaching equipment - sidearm, Skyer, mitt work and with video analysis tools
• Strong communication skills in English; comfortable presenting to players, parents and stakeholders
• Working knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets / PowerPoint for planning, tracking and reporting

Desirable

• Elite-level coaching accreditation (e.g. CoachED Level 4 or equivalent)
• Certification or formal study in sports psychology, cricket analytics or strength & conditioning
• Experience coaching women's cricket
• Experience developing or working with digital player-management platforms
• Additional languages relevant to Singapore's cricket community (Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Malayalam)
