Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Supervisor to oversee vehicle operations and maintenance. Key responsibilities include regulating cargo movement, conducting inspections, scheduling maintenance, and managing breakdowns. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience and an ITE in Automotive. A class 3/4 driving license is preferred. Competitive salary offered at $3300 - $4200.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in repair, trouble-shooting, and maintenance of construction heavy vehicles.
  • Preferably with class 3/4 driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and operate the site weighbridge to regulate cargo movement.
  • Conduct inspections and intercept cargo discrepancies.
  • Perform and schedule routine maintenance for the vehicle fleet.
  • Maintain records of all service, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate prompt resolution of breakdowns.
  • Arrange for replacement vehicles to ensure operations.
  • Attend for repair or maintenance of heavy vehicle breakdowns on site/road.

Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Supervisor

Working day: 6 days a week

Working hours: 8am to 6pm

Salary: $3300 - $4200

Workshop location: Jurong area

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and operate the site weighbridge to regulate and monitor all cargo movement.
  • Conduct rigorous inspections and intercept any cargo discrepancies, including undocumented or tonnage mismatches.
  • Perform and schedule routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections for the company's vehicle fleet and equipment, ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
  • Maintain precise records of all service, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate and facilitate prompt resolution of breakdowns and disruptions to facilities, fleet, and infrastructure.
  • Arrange for replacement vehicles as necessary to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
  • To attend for troubleshoot repair or maintenance of heavy vehicle break down on site/road
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Repair, trouble-shooting and maintenance of construction heavy vehicle (truck, lorry, excavator etc) / machinery
  • Minimum N Level / ITE in Automotive
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Preferably with class 3/4 driving licence
