Job summary

RTX is seeking a skilled technician for our heat treatment team in Singapore. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining Gas Nitride, Atmosphere and Vacuum Hardening processes, with strict adherence to quality documentation and EH&S standards.

Experience in heat treatment environments is preferred. Candidates must be physically fit, able to work rotating shifts, and capable of tolerating high-temperature conditions while maintaining accuracy in measurements and blueprints

Qualifications

• NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years' experience in manufacturing plant, preferably Heat Treat process.
• Work experience in heat treatment work environment is preferred but not necessary.
• Basic command of written and spoken English.
• Physically and mentally fit & willing to perform rotating shifts.
• Able to tolerate high temperature work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain Gas Nitride, Atmosphere and Vacuum Hardening processes.
• Set up, operate and maintain all measuring equipment, gauges and fixtures for accurate inspection checks.
• Enter all information on quality documents accurately and timely.
• Maintain active certified machinist status.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Adhere to EH&S & CORE requirements in the workplace.
• Work in an orderly fashion keeping work areas, benches and machinery tidy after use.
• Perform daily housekeeping and sustain 5S implementations.
• Engage in any other activities or responsibilities as requested by the Supervisor.
• Notify the Supervisor of any furnace/machine or tooling problems that could jeopardize product quality or unsafe conditions.
