Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences seeks an Associate Heart Valve Specialist (Sewer) to support sewing tissue and non-tissue components for medical devices. You will apply precision tooling and follow regulatory guidelines to ensure quality throughout the production process.

In a team environment, you will perform line clearance, record traceable data, and conduct visual inspections to maintain device history and SOP compliance. Strong manual dexterity and keen attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have secondary education with sewing, GMP or clean room exposure preferred.
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity required; ability to follow strict instructions.

Responsibilities

• Use tools (needles, scissors, forceps, tooling, microscope) for sewing assembly of stent/valves.
• Verify completed steps against specifications and device history records.
• Review and follow SOPs; record traceable information in systems like MES or JDE.
• Perform line clearance including cleaning and sanitizing work stations.
• Conduct visual inspections under a microscope and review colleagues' work.
• Perform general housekeeping and handling of materials per guidelines.
