Job summary

A healthcare facility in Singapore is seeking a Dialysis Centre Assistant to manage patient care and equipment safety in a challenging environment. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, assisting nursing staff with procedures, and maintaining equipment. GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level certification is required, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in shifts.

Qualifications

Job description
Responsibilities

You are responsible within the Dialysis Centre(s) for Patient Management as well as the Equipment and Environmental Management.

Patient Care and Support

Conduct and document Patient Assessment including vital signs, fluid balance monitoring and evaluating treatment response.

Assist nursing staff with haemodialysis cannulation and needle removal in accordance with established guidelines and best practices.

Furnish Patient Care & Safety support for personal hygiene, mobility, comfort needs.

Assist in monitoring patient condition and report patient abnormalities before, during and after dialysis treatments.

Follow established emergency and protocols on assisting in dialysis-related emergencies such as hypotension, machine malfunctions.

Equipment and Environmental Management

Sterilisation of dialysis equipment and the surrounding environment.

Preparation of dialysis machines, including connection, setup and priming before treatment sessions.

Report any equipment malfunction faults or issues promptly.

Assist in maintaining consumable stock levels.

Assist in medical materials administration.

Tasks and duties

Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level Certification, or relevant certificate in Healthcare Support.

Ability to work 6 days a week in rotating shifts, including weekends and Public Holidays.

Ability to perform physical tasks such as assisting patients effectively and safely.

Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team.

Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
