Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene, feeding, mobility, and daily activities.
  • Support safe transfers and movement of residents using appropriate lifting and handling techniques.
  • Escort residents for medical appointments and activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness of residents’ rooms, toilets, and common areas.
  • Clean and sanitise equipment, furniture, and fixtures (e.g., chairs, tables, fans, lights, mattresses).
  • Ensure the environment is safe, tidy, and hygienic at all times.
  • Provide laundry services, ensuring adequate clean clothing and linens for residents.
  • Support food preparation and dining assistance under nursing supervision.
  • Work closely with nursing staff, therapy aides, and other team members to ensure residents needs are met.
  • Support operational and ad hoc tasks as required by supervisors.
  • Additional ad-hoc duties given by the higher management.
Requirements
  • Minimum Primary education.
  • Qualified WSQ or HMI (Healthcare Support) certificate courses.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred (experience in residential or special needs settings advantageous).
  • Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritise tasks.
