Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, feeding, mobility, and daily activities.
- Support safe transfers and movement of residents using appropriate lifting and handling techniques.
- Escort residents for medical appointments and activities.
- Maintain cleanliness of residents’ rooms, toilets, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitise equipment, furniture, and fixtures (e.g., chairs, tables, fans, lights, mattresses).
- Ensure the environment is safe, tidy, and hygienic at all times.
- Provide laundry services, ensuring adequate clean clothing and linens for residents.
- Support food preparation and dining assistance under nursing supervision.
- Work closely with nursing staff, therapy aides, and other team members to ensure residents needs are met.
- Support operational and ad hoc tasks as required by supervisors.
- Additional ad-hoc duties given by the higher management.
Requirements
- Minimum Primary education.
- Qualified WSQ or HMI (Healthcare Support) certificate courses.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred (experience in residential or special needs settings advantageous).
- Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Sense of urgency and ability to prioritise tasks.
