• Assist Staff Nurses in delivering nursing care to clients.
• Help maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Attend to clients' needs and report them to nurses.
• Assist in transferring non-ambulant residents.
• Conduct daily exercises for residents.
• Serve meals and drinks to patients.
• Escort patients to and from their homes.
• Alert Centre Manager of emergencies.

Education

WSQ in Healthcare or equivalent qualification

Job description

The Healthcare Assistant support and assist the Staff Nurses and Enrolled Nurses in the delivery of nursing care to clients and help to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable Senior Care Centre environment for them.

• Participate in activities to improve the quality of care.
• Attend to clients’ needs and report their needs to the nurses.
• Ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of the residents.
• Assist in the transfer and positioning of non-ambulant residents.
• Assist in the conduct of daily exercises for the residents.
• Assist in serving meals and drinks, and feeding patient
• Escort patients to and fro between their homes and the Senior Care Centre.
• Alert Centre Manager of emergency situations immediately.

Job Requirements

• WSQ in Healthcare or equivalent qualification will be an advantage
• Must be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccinations
