Job summary

A senior citizens care facility in Singapore is seeking dedicated care assistants to support residents with personal hygiene, mobility, and meal assistance. Applicants should have a minimum of GCE 'N' or 'O' Level Certification and be able to work in rotating shifts. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, and previous healthcare experience is preferred. Qualifications

  • Minimum GCE 'N' or 'O' Level Certification or relevant certificate in Healthcare Support.
  • Ability to work 6 days a week in rotating shifts, including weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as assisting patients effectively and safely.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Previous healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist resident with hygiene and personal care as directed by Registered Nurse.
  • Promote self-care education and resident independence.
  • Monitor residents' physical condition and report changes.
  • Assist residents with mobility using proper techniques.
  • Participate in recreational activities and encourage resident involvement.
  • Assist residents during meals and report issues to Registered Nurse.
  • Observe safe work practices and report problems.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist resident with individual hygiene and personal care as directed and supervised by Registered Nurse following documented care plan.
  • Promote education of self-care and independence for residents ensuring the outcome standards for resident care are achieved.
  • Monitor residents’ physical condition and report any changes or deterioration to the Registered Nurse.
  • Assist residents who have problems with mobility ensuring appropriate transfer and lifting techniques are employed.
  • Participate in nursing home recreational activities; provide physical, emotional and social assistance. Encourage residents’ involvement.
  • Assist residents during meals with eating and drinking, report any problems to the Registered Nurse.
  • Observe safe work practices while attending to responsibilities and reports any problems to the Registered Nurse.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
