Job description

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Facilitate professional, high standard international health assistance services pertaining to international travelers and expatriates overseas for International SOS (Intl.SOS) clients globally. As a key member of the Assistance Team, leverage medical experience and professional knowledge to provide appropriate solutions to Intl.SOS members.

Medical Healthcare Coordination (Assistance)

• Receive calls from various international locations relating to requests for medical assistance abroad and ascertain the assistance requirements of Intl.SOS clients.
• Facilitate the provision of assistance through referral to accredited medical and technical providers at various international patient locations abroad.
• Collect as appropriate medical and other relevant health information from international sources and collate updates for Intl.SOS clients.
• Professionally communicate verbally and/or in writing to relevant parties/clients at various international locations the progress of medical assistance cases.
• Provide guidance regarding the operational planning and progress of international medical assistance cases.
• Assist to maintain the Intl.SOS medical transportation standards in facilitating the logistical arrangements of international medical transportations to and from overseas locations.

Client Support & Promotion

• To participate under the direction of the Regional Medical Director, Assistance and in consultation with the Marketing Manager, in appropriate social and professional activities in Asia which can make International SOS’ services better known and appreciated
• To assist in explaining International SOS’ medical services (where possible) to prospective and existing clients upon request from the Marketing Department

Network Partnership Development

• Collate information and conduct intermittent review of international medical providers to enhance the Intl.SOS network of medical providers and provide this to the Network Partnership department.

Training & Health Education

• Participate under the direction of the Regional Medical Director, Asisstance and in consultation with the Marketing Manager in performing for Clients and potential Clients:Health education and Health Promotion
