Qualifications

  • Experience with applied health financing or health systems research.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Proficiency with R, Stata or Excel for economic evaluation and quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake high-quality applied research in health financing and economic evaluation, including contributing to drafting major grant proposals and/or leading in drafting small grant proposals.
  • Analyse health financing mechanisms and their links to service coverage, quality, and equity.
  • Support ethics applications.
  • Contribute to peer‑reviewed publications and other outputs, including as lead author.
  • Collaborate with economists, modellers, epidemiologists, and policy specialists at NUS and other institutions.
  • Engage stakeholders and translate complex technical analyses into policy‑relevant reports and recommendations for national and regional partners.
  • Disseminate research findings through presentations at international conferences and meetings with key partners.
  • Review the latest research and policy developments in health financing and universal health coverage regularly.
  • Contribute to the broader research community through journal and grant reviews.
  • Participate in mandatory NUS training and keep abreast of advancements in research methods.
