Health Attendant

CSSD (Central Sterile Supplies Department)

1. Job Purpose

To ensure the cleanliness of the dental instruments and that patient care is provided for all patients.

2. Duties and Responsibilities

2.1 Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)

• Stationed in the Central Sterile Supplies Department (CSSD), you will be deployed to different stations – Decontamination, assembly, inspecting, wrapping and sterilization of the dental instruments
• Cleaning / disinfection of dental instruments
• Sorting, assembling, protect / packing / wrapping and labelling of dental instrument sets prior to sterilization and according to the checklist.
• Operating of washer (disinfector)/steam sterilizer.
• Perform validation and sterility tests
• Document and verify sterilization loads
• Store and issue sterile instruments
• Ensure patient safety and care are provided throughout the course of duty.

2.2 Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)

• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

3. Job Specification/Requirements

• Minimum Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) or equivalent
• Candidates with no prior experience but keen to learn are welcome to apply
• Candidates with CSSD experience will be an advantage
• Comfortable with handling heavy loads / items up to 7-10 kg
• Comfortable with staggered shift duties (7.30 am – 5 pm) / (8.30 am – 6.00 pm)
• Basic English literacy is required.
