St John’s Home for Elderly Persons is a Residential Home under the Ministry of Social and Family Affairs (MSF). We have been providing quality and compassionate care to seniors for over 60 years and will be transiting to a 174‑bed Nursing Home under Ministry of Health in 2026.

Job Summary

We’re seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead our operational teams and drive excellence in our services. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a proven track record of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies to drive efficiency, productivity, and growth.
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including:
    • Facilities management
    • Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Emergency Preparedness
    • Kitchen and laundry operations
    • Procurement and Store Management:
      1. Manage procurement processes, including sourcing and purchasing.
      2. Oversee inventory management and control.
      3. Ensure efficient storage and distribution of supplies.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts with external vendors and contractors.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure a safe and secure working environment.
  • IT Oversight: Supervise the IT team to ensure compliance with MOH's Healthcare Information Bill (HIB) regulations.
  • Renovation Projects*: Manage A&A renovation projects to ensure compliance, timely completion, and minimal disruption.
  • MOH Licensing Audit: Prepare the organization for MOH's licensing audits.
  • Interdepartmental Liaison: Collaborate with departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop operational staff.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze KPIs to inform operational decisions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and external stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform tasks as assigned by the CEO.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in operational leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of operational excellence.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Management).
  • Experience with industry‑specific regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of BCM frameworks and standards.
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and regulations.
