Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the lifecycle of the WMS system, including configuration, customization, and upgrades.
- Ensure seamless operation and optimal performance of the WMS across all facilities.
Team Leadership
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of WMS Specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure effective system use and problem resolution.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional development within the team.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and configure the WMS system to align with operational goals.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain Product Head to integrate WMS strategies with overall supply chain initiatives.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct thorough testing of business flows to ensure quality delivery for production use.
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of system performance.
Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for geographically distributed Operations Managers regarding WMS system issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Develop and maintain support documentation and training materials.
Operational Analysis and Optimization
- Analyze operational challenges and recommend solutions to improve efficiency within the fresh food distribution centers.
- Continuously monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to maximize productivity and accuracy.
Data Management and Reporting
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for reporting and data analysis purposes.
- Generate regular performance reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
Requirements
- 6-9 years of experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting Warehouse Management Software solutions, preferably the modern WMS experience (Manhattan or blue yonder).
- Prior experience in managing and leading a team of technical specialists or analysts.
