THE KOREA DEVELOPMENT BANK seeks a seasoned Treasury leader in Singapore to head a small team and oversee funding, liquidity management, and treasury activities with a focus on optimizing cash flows and risk management. The role collaborates with Head Office and overseas branches to maintain strong funding relationships.

The ideal candidate has a decade in banking treasury, a robust network, and expertise in GMTN funding, money market instruments, and hedging strategies, with English and Korean

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related major (preferred).
• 10 years’ experience in the banking industry with treasury exposure.
• Strong network in financial services sector.
• Proven track record in funding via GMTN and long-term loans.
• Expertise in short-term funding using money market instruments (CD/CP).
• Experience in cash flow and liquidity management.

Job description

This role will lead a team of 2 Treasury Specialists and 1 Treasury Senior Vice President and be mainly responsible for the organization’s funding and liquidity management.

Job Responsibilities

• Establish the organization’s cash management strategies
• Establish plans to ensure efficient use of the organization’s cash and ability to raise liquidity
• Lead cash investment strategies
• Lead foreign currencies management
• Lead hedging strategies
• Lead compliance to treasury regulations and guidelines
• Lead partnerships with internal functions for treasury initiatives
• Lead relationship building with financial institutions to support financing needs and other treasury operations
• Oversee reporting of finances
• Communicate and collaborate with other colleagues in the Head Office and other overseas networks
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for Head Office reporting

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related major (preferred)
• 10 years’ experience in the banking industry, including Treasury related experience
• Wide network of relationships in the financial services sector
• Strong negotiation and organizational skills
• Strong track record in funding via GMTN and long-term loans (bilateral/syndicated).
• Expertise in short-term funding using various money market instruments including CD and CP
• Ability to manage security investment portfolio and implement effective post-investment monitoring
• Deep understanding of FX and derivatives with a proven ability to execute IRS, CRS, and FXSpot/Forward strategies
• Experience in managing contingency funding plan (CFP)
• Experience in managing the bank’s cash flows and liquidity ratios
• Business proficiency in written and verbal English and Korean is required to communicate with the Head Office, Singapore Branch and Overseas Branches. This includes reviewing, presenting & attending to queries on market research and Head Office's questionnaire & info request.
