Overview
The Head of Technology will lead the firm’s regional technology vision, architecture, and operations across Asia. This is a strategic yet hands‑on leadership role responsible for building and scaling the technology foundation that enables investment excellence, operational efficiency, and data‑driven decision‑making.
We are seeking an accomplished technology leader with a strong engineering background and a deep understanding of infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data governance. The ideal candidate combines technical acumen with strategic foresight, guiding a talented team to develop secure, modern, and scalable technology platforms that empower business growth and innovation across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Infrastructure
- Define and execute the regional technology roadmap aligned with the firm’s business objectives and long‑term growth plans.
- Design and maintain secure, resilient, and scalable systems and infrastructure across multiple offices in Asia.
- Establish IT governance frameworks, cybersecurity standards, and data protection policies that meet global best practices and local regulatory requirements.
- Drive operational efficiency through smart technology investments, vendor management, and cost optimisation.
Software Engineering & Digital Enablement
- Lead the development, enhancement, and integration of internal systems, platforms, and applications that support investment analysis, portfolio management, and reporting functions.
- Oversee system architecture, code quality, and development standards to ensure technical excellence.
- Champion automation, data analytics, and digital transformation initiatives that elevate business performance.
- Stay hands‑on with emerging technologies to guide design and implementation decisions.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing technology team that operates with agility, innovation, and accountability.
- Partner closely with senior leadership and business heads to translate strategic priorities into actionable technology solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on technology trends, risk mitigation, and innovation opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, forward‑thinking culture that embraces continuous improvement and learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of technology leadership experience, preferably within private equity, asset management, or financial services organisations.
- Strong hands‑on foundation in software development, system architecture, and integration.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data architecture.
- Proven experience leading both software and infrastructure teams in regional or multi‑office environments.
- Demonstrated ability to bridge business objectives with technical execution.
- Familiarity with APAC regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Mandarin speaking is essential as the role requires communication with stakeholders in China.
