Position: Head of Sales & Merchant Onboarding

Location: Singapore

Experience: 5-10 years in B2B sales, with significant experience in merchant acquisition, SaaS, fintech, or payment solutions.

The Role

As the founding Head of Sales & Merchant Onboarding, you will be the driving force behind our market expansion. Your primary mission is to build, lead, and inspire a high-performance acquisition team from the ground up. You will be responsible for the entire merchant journey—from defining the go-to-market strategy and recruiting talent to closing key partnerships and ensuring successful onboarding. This is a hands‑on leadership role critical to our company's success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a scalable merchant acquisition and onboarding strategy. Set clear team goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and train a sales and onboarding team. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead Generation & Pipeline: Create innovative channels for merchant lead generation. Build a robust and predictable sales pipeline.
  • Sales Process Ownership: Design and optimize the end-to-end sales cycle, from initial contact to contract signing and seamless platform onboarding.
  • Performance Management: Closely monitor team and individual performance against targets. Implement coaching and development plans to maximize results.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to refine our value proposition, provide merchant feedback, and improve the onboarding experience.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of trends in merchant services and retail tech to adapt strategies and identify new opportunities.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven track record (5-10 years) in B2B sales leadership, with at least 3-5 years building and managing teams.
  • Strong experience in merchant-related sales—merchant acquisition, payment processing, SaaS, or fintech sales—though not mandatory, is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional skills in recruitment, coaching, and team motivation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in a startup or high‑growth environment is an advantage.
