Job summary

A leading electric vehicle company in Singapore seeks a Manager/Senior Manager for Commercial Sales of trucks. The role involves overseeing sales, engaging distributors, and developing marketing strategies. Candidates should possess an engineering degree, at least 10 years of experience in sales or project management, and strong bilingual communication skills in Mandarin and English.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Sales of Commercial Trucks.
  • Engage and manage distribution of electric trucks.
  • Define market segments and devise marketing strategy.
  • Prepare yearly target and sales plan.
  • Liaise with R&D and production teams on product requirements.
  • Liaise with authorities for EV Truck homologation.
  • Maintain relations with customers and government authorities.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Sales of Commercial Trucks for BYD Singapore.

  • Assist in engaging and managing the distribution of comprehensive range of electric trucks in Singapore.

  • Assist in defining market segments and devise marketing strategy and action plan.

  • Prepare yearly target and sales plan (yearly & periodic forecast) for achieving Sales target.

  • Liaison with BYD HQ Commercial Trucks R&D & Production Team on products requirement, specifications, new products availability or upgrade for current products, including shipment and delivery schedule.

  • Liaison with Authority & Distributors in the homologation of EV Trucks.

  • Maintain good rapport and communications with both customers and local government authorities to keep abreast of policies relating to EV trucks adoption in Singapore.

Job Requirements:
  • Any Degree but preference would be given to Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Sales, Operations or Project Management.

  • Good communications skills.

  • Good command in Mandarin and English in order to liaise with China HQ colleague.
