Job Description

The Head, Sales is responsible for leading and driving the Sales Team to achieve sales targets, meeting the objectives of rates and yield optimisation of Singapore cluster’s portfolio of serviced residences and hotels, as well as managing the entire sales process to maintain and increase the existing client base in the Singapore Cluster. He or she will report directly to the Country General Manager, Singapore Operations.

Job Responsibilities
  • To assist the Country General Manager, Singapore Operations with market studies on potential business development in Singapore
  • Define and set up the multi-segment and multi-channel sales strategy in their region in accordance with the sales policy in order to meet budgeted revenue targets
  • Responsible for observing economic business level fluctuations, tourism trends, environmental issues, and political and social trends
  • Assess local consumer trends and suggest the necessary changes to relevant initiatives
  • Defines and sets up local partnerships with institutions and companies
  • Source new business channels
  • Implement sales strategy and understand account tactics to achieve these strategies
  • Anticipates and projects sales forecasts and monitor market trends
  • Report as required on sales activities and successes
  • Optimise RFP success ratio for the benefit of the business
  • Conduct familiarisations and site inspections
  • Take active part in determining room rate pricing strategy with Property Heads and Country Director, Revenue Management, if appropriate, after analysing and assessing the different components of the market
  • Plans and controls budgetary activities
  • Maintain regular interactions with key stakeholders and clients
  • Entertain prospects and existing key accounts with the view to sustain business and generate further sales
  • Utilise Salesforce System for client management and reporting purposes
  • Partake in task forces and roll out of new services and products
  • Contribute with the Sales Team to promote The Ascott Limited’s brands by implementing regional promotional offers in accordance with strategy and priority
  • Set clear goals and directions for the team and empower them to achieve the business results
  • Motivate, supervise and appraise staff’s performance in the Sales Department
  • Provide guidelines and training to staff in the execution of their duties within the Sales Department.
  • Engage the team by energising the team members to work together towards the common goals
  • Partake in audits and interested party transactions reporting
  • Any other ad‑hoc duties as assigned
