Job summary

A leading financial services company in Singapore is seeking a seasoned leader in risk management with over 15 years of experience in consumer lending. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the lending lifecycle and risk metrics, along with excellent analytical skills. Responsibilities include driving change and implementing a risk culture within the organization. A Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field is required, and a Master's degree or relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of risk management experience in consumer or digital lending.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role with strong understanding of the lending lifecycle.
• Deep experience in credit policy and underwriting frameworks.

Job description

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred or relevant risk/finance certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) a plus.
• 15+ years of risk management experience in consumer lending / unsecured lending / digital lending business (or equivalent), with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of the lending lifecycle and key risk metrics.
• Deep experience in credit policy, underwriting frameworks, scorecards, behavioural modelling, collections strategy.
• Strong analytical skills, comfortable with data (SQL, Python/R, or risk analytics toolsets)
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — able to engage business, product, data, operations and senior management.
• Proven track record of balancing growth and risk in a high-velocity lending environment.
• Ability to drive change, build governance, and embed risk culture in a fast-growing organisation.
