About the Role:

Our client is a leading player in higher learning sector. As the Head of Procurement, you will play a critical leadership role in driving the next wave of growth and expansion, to make happen heightened procurement excellence and governance.

You will be responsible for optimizing sourcing strategies and supplier risk assessment to further enhance the standards of the organisation’s service delivery, ensuring operational excellence aligned with end-to-end procurement efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strong operational leadership for both direct and indirect categories and instill procurement governance and excellence across key spends.
• Orchestrate the redesign of procurement operations to drive cost optimization, enhance supplier relationships, and create sustainable competitive advantages.
• Develop and roll out strategic sourcing methodology, implementing change management from tactical to strategic sourcing mentality.
• Spearhead process improvement initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission to make happen procurement excellence, to maintain high-quality service delivery.
• Lead, manage and develop a high-performing team equipped to deliver tangible business value in the higher learning industry.
• Gain maximum buy-in from important internal and external stakeholders involved through effective influencing skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Science, Engineering, Business Management
• Minimum 12-15 years of experience in procurement management, including strategic sourcing, category management and purchasing management, preferably with working knowledge in IT/technology category.
• Proven track records in leading procurement transformation and centralization.
• Excellent leadership capability, versatile in managing senior stakeholders and advocating constructive procurement improvement implementations on the ground.
