Job summary

Amperesand PTE. LTD. invites an experienced engineering leader to build and guide a multidisciplinary team in Singapore, with a focus on power electronics validation and system integration for cutting-edge energy infrastructure.

You will own program strategy, drive complex projects like Solid State Transformer validation, and collaborate with executive leadership to scale a high-growth hardware/software business.

Qualifications

• PhD preferred; Master’s required in electrical engineering or power electronics.
• 12+ years engineering experience with at least 5 years in people leadership.
• Deep power electronics background: power conversion design, topology optimization, magnetics, devices, controls.
• Proven track record building engineering teams from scratch in startup/high-growth.
• Strong validation, test strategy, and systems integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering org spanning electrical, mechanical, firmware, system integration, validation and test.
• Own special projects including power electronics validation and test frameworks.
• Drive high-priority projects for Solid State Transformer systems with leadership alignment.
• Guide topology selection, magnetics, devices and controls across programs.
• Establish hardware/software validation strategy and test environments.
• Oversee system integration across electrical, mechanical, firmware and software subsystems.
• Define org structure, roles, and career development paths; mentor engineers.
• Develop frameworks for requirements decomposition and design acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Controls and Software leadership on milestones and dependencies.
• Drive continuous improvement of test efficiency, coverage and automation.
• Lead root-cause investigations across hardware, firmware, sensing and validation.
