Job description

We are partnering with a leading insurance organisation to appoint an experienced Head of Motor Claims to lead and transform its motor claims function.

This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end accountability for motor claims performance, people leadership, and claims transformation across a sizeable portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end leadership of Motor Claims, covering Own Damage (OD), Total & Permanent Disability (TPD), and Bodily Injury (BI) claims
• Drive claims transformation and turnaround initiatives, including process improvement, productivity uplift, and service quality enhancement
• Lead, manage, and develop a large claims team (10+ headcount), building strong bench strength and succession
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on motor claims, providing technical guidance on complex and high-value cases
• Partner closely with senior stakeholders across Underwriting, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations
• Ensure claims handling is aligned with regulatory requirements, internal governance, and best-in-class market practices
• Embed a culture of customer centricity, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Motor Claims with end-to-end exposure across OD, TPD, and BI
• Proven track record in turning around or transforming a claims function (process, people, performance, or cost)
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing large claims teams in a complex environment
• Recognised technical expert in motor claims, with the credibility to handle escalations and guide senior stakeholders
• Strong leadership, change management, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Experience within a general insurance / motor insurance environment in Singapore (or comparable markets)
