Job summary

A leading firm in mergers & acquisitions is seeking a Head of Mergers & Acquisitions to lead enterprise-wide M&A initiatives. The candidate will have 12–15+ years of experience, focusing on strategic acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships. Responsibilities include executing M&A strategy, managing negotiations, and ensuring compliance. An MBA, CA, or CFA from a top-tier institution is preferred, along with expertise in financial modeling and deal structuring. This role offers a chance to shape corporate strategy and drive growth.

Qualifications

  • 12–15+ years of experience in M&A / Corporate Development / IB / PE within large enterprises.
  • Strong track record of executing complex, multi-entity and cross-border transactions.
  • Experience working with boards, investment committees, and senior leadership.
  • Deep expertise in valuation, financial modeling, and deal structuring.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute enterprise-level M&A strategy aligned with long-term growth priorities.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of acquisition and divestment opportunities.
  • Lead end-to-end deal execution: valuation, diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closure.
  • Drive board and investment committee approvals; manage governance and compliance.
  • Oversee post-merger integration and synergy realization across businesses.
  • Manage external advisors and internal stakeholders.

Role Summary:

Lead enterprise-wide M&A and inorganic growth initiatives across multiple business units. Own end-to-end execution of acquisitions, divestitures, JVs, and strategic investments, partnering closely with the board, leadership team, and business heads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute enterprise-level M&A strategy aligned with long-term growth priorities
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of acquisition and divestment opportunities
  • Lead end-to-end deal execution: valuation, diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closure
  • Drive board and investment committee approvals; manage governance and compliance
  • Oversee post-merger integration and synergy realization across businesses
  • Manage external advisors (IBs, legal, tax, consultants) and internal stakeholders
