Job description

We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Membership Growth & Partnerships Program Lead to drive SFA’s membership acquisition, retention, and member value initiatives. This role is central to growing SFA’s membership revenue, strengthening engagement across member tiers, and building a structured portfolio of high-impact partnerships and perks.

The successful candidate will combine strong commercial instincts with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and be able to translate member needs into clear value propositions and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Membership Growth & Acquisition
  • Drive end-to-end membership acquisition across Startup, Corporate, and Partner tiers.
  • Manage the membership sales pipeline, including outreach, follow-ups, and closing.
  • Engage prospective members through events, ecosystem touchpoints, and outbound campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and conversions in HubSpot CRM.
Membership Engagement & Retention
  • Lead membership retention strategies and manage renewal cycles.
  • Track renewals, re-joiners, and member churn, and implement targeted interventions.
  • Conduct check-ins with key accounts to identify needs and deliver relevant opportunities.
  • Record member interactions and engagement outcomes in HubSpot.
Partnerships & Perks Development
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate member benefit partnerships (SaaS, corporate perks, ecosystem providers).
  • Develop a structured benefit catalogue aligned with membership tiers.
  • Manage partner relationships and ensure successful implementation of benefit programs.
  • Track the performance, usage, and ROI of perks to ensure they deliver tangible member value.
Membership Reporting & Operations
  • Prepare monthly membership reports covering new members, renewals, re-joiners, and churn.
  • Maintain accurate membership records and ensure operational continuity.
  • Support process exceptions and align closely with Marketing and Events teams for member activities.
  • Work with the Operations and Tech teams to ensure CRM workflows and automations support membership journeys.
Membership Product & Value Proposition
  • Review and enhance tiered membership structures, pricing, and entitlements.
  • Work with Marketing on membership positioning, communication, and value articulation.
  • Benchmark against peer associations to ensure competitiveness and relevance.
  • Support development of member ROI frameworks and value measurement scorecards.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in membership management, business development, partnerships, or commercial roles.
  • Proven experience meeting revenue targets and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred); comfortable working with data and reporting.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Highly organized, with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple external stakeholders.
