Job summary

A leading human resources consultancy in Singapore is seeking a Corporate Legal Advisor to lead its legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a law degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience, particularly in corporate law and compliance. Responsibilities include providing legal advice on commodity trading, managing contracts, and liaising with law firms. The role also requires familiarity with Southeast Asia's legal environment. Responsibilities

• Lead the legal team according to management directives and business needs.
• Provide legal advice on matters related to commodity trading, overseas project development, and corporate mergers & acquisitions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents to manage legal risks.
• Liaise with external law firms and coordinate domestic and international legal matters.
• Support management with other legal and compliance-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law.
• At least 7 years of relevant legal experience; prior exposure to corporate legal work or law firms is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of corporate and contract law, as well as international trade regulations; experience in M&A and legal matters related to engineering projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with the legal and regulatory environment in Southeast Asia is preferred.
