We are establishing a new interior fit‑out company and are seeking a highly skilled and entrepreneurial leader to set up and head our carpentry and fit‑out division. The ideal candidate combines strong technical carpentry expertise with design sensibility, project management ability, and excellent customer‑facing skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the setup of the carpentry workshop, including layout design, equipment selection, and supplier partnerships.
• Oversee full‑cycle fit‑out projects, from design development to installation and client handover.
• Interpret technical drawings and collaborate with designers/clients to translate concepts into buildable solutions.
• Manage customer relationships, ensuring high-quality service and satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, and supervise carpentry and installation teams.
• Ensure quality workmanship in carpentry fabrication and installation (cabinetry, joinery, partitions, fixtures).
• Source sustainable, cost‑effective materials and manage supplier relationships.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality benchmarks.
• Drive innovation in materials, finishes, and fit‑out methods to enhance design and execution.

Requirements

• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in carpentry and fit‑out, with proven leadership in workshop and on‑site execution.
• Strong technical knowledge of joinery, carpentry, and modern woodworking techniques (CNC proficiency preferred).
• Hands‑on ability in carpentry, with experience in both fabrication and installation.
• Solid understanding of interior design principles and ability to bridge design with buildability.
• Certification in Carpentry and Interior Fit‑Out required.
• Track record of handling clients directly, including project scoping, budgeting, and delivery.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in commercial, retail, or hospitality fit‑out projects preferred.
