About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Financial Partnerships to lead the design, build‑out, and scaling of Finmo’s global banking and payments infrastructure. Based in Singapore, this is a senior leadership role with a global mandate across all Finmo operating and expansion markets. You will define partnership strategy, own executive‑level relationships with banks and financial institutions worldwide, and lead a team responsible for executing and operating Finmo’s network.

This role is critical to Finmo’s ability to launch in new markets, deliver reliable core financial infrastructure, and scale globally. The ideal candidate brings deep, hands‑on experience building banking and payments rails, combined with a ready network of senior industry contacts across key financial hubs.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Own Finmo’s global financial partnerships strategy, spanning banks, payment service providers, and clearing partners across all markets.
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for Finmo’s most strategic financial institution partners.
  • Lead and develop a global team of Financial Partnerships Managers, setting clear priorities, standards, and execution frameworks.
  • Partner closely with Product leadership to define infrastructure roadmaps that support market launches, regulatory requirements, and customer use cases.
  • Work with Commercial teams to ensure partnerships directly enable revenue, customer onboarding, and scalable go‑to‑market execution.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Strategy, and Regulatory teams to support licensing applications, safeguarding structures, and regulatory engagement across jurisdictions.
  • Drive complex commercial negotiations, including pricing, settlement models, SLAs, risk allocation, and operational frameworks.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of partnerships from origination and due diligence through launch, optimisation, and long‑term performance management.
Requirements
  • 6‑12+ years of experience in financial partnerships, transaction banking, payments, or financial infrastructure, gained at a fintech, payment company, or global financial institution.
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling core banking and payments infrastructure across multiple markets.
  • An established, senior‑level network across banks, PSPs, and regulators in key global financial hubs.
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing managers in partnership, network, or infrastructure functions.
  • Strong understanding of transaction banking, cash management, collections, payouts, safeguarding, and payment rails.
  • Track record of negotiating complex, high‑value partnerships with senior stakeholders with proven results.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long‑term platform architecture with near‑term commercial and regulatory needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the credibility to influence internal leadership and external decision‑makers.
Location & Travel
  • Based in Singapore or Malaysia with meaningful regional travel across APAC as needed.
  • Overseas travel expenses reimbursed per company policy.
Compensation & Benefits (Summary)
  • Base salary + performance incentive (target‑based)
  • Equity participation (subject to Board approval and plan terms)
  • Annual leave policy (historically 20 days, pro‑rated, per company policy)
Why Join Us
  • High ownership, high learning: you will help define how Finmo scales revenue in APAC.
  • A product and mission built around modern finance reality, moving money globally while improving cash visibility, liquidity control, and risk management.
  • A tight feedback loop between Network, Sales, Product, and Engineering, where your customer insights materially shape what we build next.
  • Be part of a fast‑growing, innovative company at the forefront of the FinTech industry.
  • Work with a passionate and supportive team dedicated to making an impact.
  • Opportunity for significant career growth and professional development.
  • Flexible working arrangements and a vibrant office culture.
  • A chance to shape the future of global payments.
