Position Details
- Position: Head of Department (Maintenance & Facilities)
- Location: Gul Road (company transport provided from various locations - Bukit Batok/Boon Lay/Choa Chu Kang/Jurong East/Woodlands/Serangoon)
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8am - 5.30pm)
- Salary: Up to $8,000 + Performance Bonus + Staff Benefits + Medical Benefits
- Duration: Permanent

Main Responsibilities
- Lead the Maintenance & Facilities Department across all yard zones
- Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for mechanical, electrical, and civil systems
- Approve yard storage space allocation and spare parts procurement
- Oversee infrastructure upgrades, utility installations, and layout planning
- Collaborate with project teams to align development with operational needs and safety standards
- Monitor progress and quality of development works to ensure timely execution and compliance
- Ensure compliance with Singapore authorities (JTC, BCA, NEA, SCDF, MOM & etc)
- Prepare for inspections, audits, and permit requirements
- Maintain valid LM and LG certificates for lifting equipment
- Supervise maintenance of yard machinery, building utilities, welding equipment, and electrical systems
- Oversee diesel top‑up operations and consumption tracking
- Track monthly utilities consumption (electricity, water, gas)
- Prepare monthly reports and recommend improvements
- Lead sustainability programs (waste reduction, water conservation, green building practices)
- Engage vendors for eco‑friendly materials and technologies
- Prepare Annual Budgeting
- Manage engineers, supervisors, technicians, and store person
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in shipyard, offshore, or heavy industrial maintenance
- Proven leadership in large‑scale maintenance operations and yard development
- Experience in CAPEX and OPEX budget preparation and management
- Strong knowledge of Singapore regulatory bodies: JTC, BCA, NEA, SCDF, MOM
- Workplace Safety and Health (Shipbuilding and Ship‑Repairing) Regulations
- SS510 standards for welding, electrical, and hot‑work tools
- Familiarity with equipment calibration and certification
- Permit‑to‑work systems and LOTO procedures
