Job Summary
As the Head of Community Engagement & Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in driving the organization's fundraising initiatives and effectively managing our volunteer engagement programs to meet the organisation’s goals. Reporting directly to the Division Head of Programmes and with guidance from the Fundraising Committee, you will lead a dedicated team and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of fundraising campaigns, donor relations and volunteer engagement strategies.
Job Responsibilities

Strategic and Analytical Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising and volunteer management strategies aligned with the organisation’s mission and values.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as monetary targets, donor engagement metrics for the department, etc.
- Develop realistic budget that aligns with fundraising goals and allocate resources appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical fundraising and volunteer management practices.
- Utilize data and feedback to assess the effectiveness of fundraising and volunteer programs, making data-driven and research-backed decisions to optimise fundraising efforts.
- Analyse various fundraising metrics, such as donor acquisition costs, retention rates, conversion rates and lifetime value of donors.

Fundraising and Volunteer Management
- Lead and oversee all fundraising activities, including major donor cultivation, grant applications, online campaigns and special events.
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities to support the organisation’s projects and initiatives.
- Develop and implement a robust volunteer management programme, ensuring effective recruitment, training and retention of volunteers.
- Foster a positive and inclusive volunteer culture that aligns with the organisation’s values.

Stakeholder Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, community partners and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation at relevant events and engage with key supporters to build lasting connections.
- Uphold ethical standards in fundraising practices, ensuring transparency, honesty, accountability in all interactions with donors and stakeholders.

- Provide visionary leadership to the Community Engagement and Partnerships Team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Mentor and develop team members, encouraging professional growth and excellence.
Job Requirements
- Degree with a minimum of 10 or more years of experience in fundraising and volunteer management, with a proven track record of successful campaigns.
- Strong understanding and alignment with the values of the organisation.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical skills, and strong project management skills.
- Familiar with Customer Relationship Management or Donor Management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience managing a team and driving high-performance outcomes.
