Head of Business Services, Singapore & Hong Kong

We are looking for a new colleague to join Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ), Singapore, as the Head of Business Services, Singapore & Hong Kong. Business Services in Singapore and Hong Kong provide services for our Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) clients operating in Asia (FICC & Equities, Cash Management, Trade Finance and Lending). Singapore also serves as a global delivery hub for certain Trade Finance processes.

About The Role

As a Head of Business Services of SEB Singapore & Hong Kong, you will have an overall responsibility for Payments, Trading, Documentary Examination and Trade Finance Services as well as Client Services. You will work closely with your team, business partners, various areas within Global Business Services and control functions to ensure efficient and compliant deliveries with minimal risk. Your direct reports include four Team Managers with 43 employees across both locations. You will also serve as a member of the SEB Singapore Branch Management team.

Over recent years, the organization has experienced considerable transformation, prompted by evolving regulatory requirements and a continuous commitment to internal efficiency and quality improvement. You will be responsible for leading the department through further process optimization, development of new competencies, and adaptation to changing regulatory requirements and shifting client expectations. This position reports to the Head of Business Services International and the Singapore Branch Country Manager.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Set strategic direction for Business Services Singapore & Hong Kong.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Oversee daily operations across Trading, Payments, Documentary Examination, and Client Services to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Branch Management, Trade Finance product area, and Global Business Services.
  • Driving continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with local & global regulatory requirements.
  • Represent Business Services Singapore & Hong Kong in cross-functional projects and SEB Group initiatives.
