A leading waste management firm based in Singapore is seeking a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for securing new clients and supporting existing accounts across the Asia Pacific region. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Hold overall accountability for identifying, developing, and securing new clients, while also supporting the growth of existing accounts across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, maintaining and managing the sales pipeline through CRM tools.
  • Monitor sales performance across the APAC region to ensure targets are met, and proactively identify opportunities to improve outcomes with underperforming clients.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to the Business Development teams within the region.
  • Foster strong internal collaboration with both local and international colleagues to maximize cross-regional business opportunities.
  • Maintain regular engagement with clients to ensure their needs are understood and met, balancing innovation and flexibility with commercial viability.
  • Analyze the competitive commercial landscape and develop effective counterstrategies.
  • Collaborate with legal team to structure and negotiate client contracts.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and other networking events.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as delegated by senior management.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the high-tech or waste management sectors, such as battery or e-waste recycling.
  • Highly energetic, with a strong work ethic and commitment to contributing to team success.
  • Regional expertise spanning multiple countries within the Asia Pacific region.
  • Self-motivated and capable of handling day-to-day responsibilities independently, including ad-hoc tasks.
  • Skilled in pipeline management and strategic account development.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-performance environment.
  • Strong business acumen and a meticulous approach to execution.
  • Effective team leader with the ability to inspire and lead by example.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in at least one additional Asian language preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and lead generation tools.
