DESIGNATION

Head, Finance

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a dynamic Head of Finance, you will lead the Finance team and the full spectrum of finance, accounting, and reporting activities for our Singapore operations. You will also assist in making critical business decisions by analyzing and presenting key financial data. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close partnership with various stakeholders to drive sound financial decision‑making, budgeting and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the financial and statutory reporting functions
  • Analyse trends, possible improvements, areas of risks, financing and any key issues relating to the business and provide recommendation for improvements
  • Drive process improvements and financial controls
  • Ensure compliance with organisation policies, boards' decisions and government statutory legislations
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the Finance Team to ensure smooth accounting operations
  • Mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team
  • Responsible for the preparation of annual operating budgets
  • Coordinate and manage the annual statutory audit, including reviewing and assessing the audit findings from the auditors, ensuring that all exceptions and issues are addressed
  • Member of the Business Board, involved in decision making, presenting Finance matters and offering recommendations to the Board
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Accountancy or ACCA with CPA/CA qualification
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity, preferably within the social service sector
  • Strong technical knowledge in accounting, reporting and financial planning
  • Experience in Charities accounting would be an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of Oracle / ERP systems
  • Hands‑on and proactive with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Technically competent with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Meticulous and organised, with an eye for details
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to maintain positive working relationships across the departments and stakeholders
OTHER INFORMATION
DUTY HOURS

The total work hours is 44 hours per week.

Under normal circumstances the hours of duty will be as follows:

8.30am to 5pm - Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch break)

It will be at the discretion of your Centre/Department in charge or his/her assigned representatives to determine whether you will be required to work any of the unutilised hours according to the operational needs of the Centre/Department and within the legitimacy of the employment laws where applicable.
