What You Do

BOS Corporate Treasury, under the BOS CFO Office, is seeking a Treasury professional to lead the Corporate Treasury team. The role is responsible for driving balance sheet strategy and managing the Bank’s liquidity, funding, and interest rate risk. The ideal candidate should possess strong ALM and treasury experience, demonstrate strategic thinking, and have a proven track record in balance sheet and financial management.

Balance Sheet Strategy and Management

  • Develop and execute the Bank’s balance sheet strategy to support overall business objectives, optimize financial performance, and maintain a resilient balance sheet across varying market conditions

  • Lead the development and enhancement of balance sheet, liquidity, funding, and net interest income (NII) analytics and forecasting capabilities. Provide insightful analysis, modelling, and management reporting to support strategic decision-making and long-term business planning

  • Partner closely with Front Office, Product, Finance, and other key stakeholders to drive sustainable growth in loans and deposits, support Assets Under Management (AUM) expansion, and improve balance sheet efficiency and profitability

  • Evaluate balance sheet trends, market developments, and business performance to identify opportunities, risks, and strategic actions that enhance funding stability, liquidity management, and earnings growth

  • Coordinate and align balance sheet initiatives with Group Corporate Treasury and relevant stakeholders across the organization, leveraging Group expertise, platforms, and synergies to achieve the Bank’s strategic and financial objective

  • Provide thought leadership on balance sheet management, ensuring that funding, liquidity, capital, and interest rate risk considerations are effectively incorporated into business strategy, product development, and growth initiatives

Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP) Policy and Framework

  • Review and optimize Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) frameworks to support business strategy, promote the growth of stable and cost-effective deposits, and ensure appropriate risk-adjusted returns across lending activities.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance FTP policies, methodologies, and governance standards, including Liquidity Premium (LP) frameworks and strategic pricing adjustments, to align business incentives with the Bank’s balance sheet objectives.

  • Monitor market developments, funding conditions, and balance sheet dynamics to recommend FTP enhancements that strengthen the Bank’s liquidity profile and overall financial performance

  • Partner closely with business and product teams to develop and implement pricing strategies that support sustainable business growth while maintaining market competitiveness and profitability

  • Design and execute targeted pricing and deposit campaigns to drive loan and deposit growth, support Assets Under Management (AUM) expansion, and accelerate Net New Money (NNM) acquisition

Liquidity Management and Funding Strategy

  • Oversee the Bank’s funding and liquidity position to ensure sufficient liquidity is maintained at all times, supporting business operations while meeting internal risk appetites and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage day-to-day funding activities, including Money Market placements and borrowings, FX swaps, and cash transfers with Group OCBC, to optimize funding costs, enhance returns, and maintain liquidity within approved risk limits.

  • Monitor and manage the Bank’s High Quality Liquid Assets (HQLA), for BOS Hong Kong Branch, to ensure adequate liquidity buffers are maintained and all regulatory requirements, including the Liquidity Maintenance Ratio (LMR) and Liquidity Adequacy Ratio (LAR), are met

  • Ensure compliance with all liquidity and funding regulations by actively monitoring key risk indicators and limits, including MCO, counterparty limits, and regulatory liquidity ratios, and escalating potential breaches in a timely manner

  • Develop and implement funding and liquidity strategies to support balance sheet growth, optimize resource allocation, and strengthen the Bank’s overall liquidity and funding resilience

Interest Rate Risk Management

  • Manage the Bank’s interest rate risk by aligning the interest rate sensitivity and duration of assets and liabilities within approved risk appetite and PV01 limits

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the balance sheet’s interest rate profile, minimizing the impact of market rate movements on the Bank’s net interest income (NII) and earnings stability

  • Collaborate closely with Group Global Markets and ALM Risk Management teams to ensure asset and liability growth remains aligned with the Bank’s interest rate risk appetite, approved risk limits, funding strategy, and balance sheet objectives

Business Advisory, Projects, and Strategic Partnerships

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, three-year strategic planning, and Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) for balance sheet, funding, liquidity, and net interest income (NII) forecasting. Provide robust financial analysis and forward-looking insights to support strategic business decisions and financial targets

  • Develop and maintain balance sheet and NII forecasting models, stress-testing capabilities, and scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of market developments, business growth strategies, and regulatory changes on the Bank’s financial performance

  • Lead and drive strategic projects and process transformation initiatives across the Treasury function, focusing on operational efficiency, scalability, and enhanced management reporting capabilities

  • Drive the adoption of advanced analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and data-driven decision-making capabilities to generate deeper business insights, enhance forecasting accuracy, and support timely strategic decisions by senior management

Who You Are

  • Degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Economics, or a related field

  • At least 12 years of experience in Corporate Treasury, Asset and Liability Management (ALM), or related financial management roles within the banking industry, with strong expertise in balance sheet management, liquidity and funding management, deposits and loans pricing, and interest rate risk management

  • Proven ability to partner effectively with Business, Treasury, Finance, Risk, and Country Management teams to develop and execute balance sheet strategies that support the Bank’s growth, profitability, and risk management objectives

  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior management and build collaborative relationships across functions

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable business insights and recommendations

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of identifying opportunities, addressing business challenges, and driving strategic initiatives to improve balance sheet performance and financial outcome

  • Ability to leverage data, market intelligence, and financial analytics to support business discussions, pricing decisions, portfolio management, and strategic planning

  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and make timely decisions in a changing market and regulatory landscape

  • Experience in data analytics, process automation, and digital transformation initiatives will be an advantage, particularly in leveraging technology and AI-driven insights to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency
