Role Overview
The Head Golf Coach leads the coaching team and oversees thedelivery of high-quality golf instruction across the club. This role isresponsible for designing training program, managing coaching standards,driving player development pathways, and ensuring coaching operations alignwith the club’s vision and service excellence standards.
The Head Coach is expected to mentor junior coaches, manage schedulingand program design, and play an active role in developing elite-level andcompetitive players.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coaching Leadership & Delivery
- Lead anddeliver advanced coaching sessions for intermediate, advanced andcompetitive golfers.
- Conduct swinganalysis, short game training, putting program and on-course strategycoaching.
- Providehigh-level instruction using modern technology such as TrackMan,Foresight GCQuad/GC3, Full Swing simulators, and video analysis tools.
- Guide playerspreparing for tournaments, leagues, handicaps, and performanceassessments.
2. Team Management & CoachingStandards
- Supervise and mentor a team ofcoaches; ensure consistent instructional quality.
- Conduct periodic skillevaluations and training sessions for junior/assistant coaches.
- Establish coaching frameworks,lesson plans, and SOPs for academy-wide standardization.
- Review coach performance andassist management in talent development planning.
3. Program Development &Curriculum Design
- Design and update structuredprogram such as:
- Junior development pathways
- High-performance program
- Beginners’ courses
- Corporate clinics
- Holiday camps
- Introduce new training modules toenhance player engagement and academy reputation.
4. Player Development &Performance Tracking
- Conduct player assessments usingdata-driven metrics.
- Create personalized improvementplans for students at all levels.
- Track performance progressionthrough KPI dashboards or training journals.
- Provide feedback to parents (forjuniors) and players regularly.
5. Simulator Studio Management
- Oversee operations and utilizationof indoor golf simulators.
- Ensure correct calibration,reporting of technical issues, and equipment maintenance.
- Develop simulator-based practiceprogram and structured training drills.
6. Academy Operations & CustomerEngagement
- Co-manage lesson schedules, classallocation, and booking optimization.
- Support membership acquisitionand retention with strong customer service.
- Participate in exhibitions, demodays, marketing events or social media content (as required).
- Promote a safe, positive, andprofessional learning environment.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- PGA-certifiedCoach or equivalent professional golfing qualification.
- Minimum 5–8years of coaching experience, including experience trainingcompetitive or advanced-level players.
- Priorleadership or team supervision experience is highly preferred.
- Strongunderstanding of golf biomechanics, swing philosophy, and game strategy.
