Job description

Vatos Kitchen & Bar, is looking for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at the Singapore branch, as well as, be an integral part of the expansion and set-up team both locally and overseas.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in culinary arts, an in-depth knowledge of Mexican cuisine, and minimum of ten years of kitchen management/head chef experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all areas of the kitchen.
  • Manage kitchen staff and provide them with feedback.
  • Training of new kitchen staff.
  • Formulate schedules for kitchen staff.
  • Maintain impeccable standards of quality control, hygiene, sanitation, health and safety.
  • Maintain proper inventories for the kitchen and be responsible for ordering supplies.
  • Calculate and maintain menu costing and recipes.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures and policies for the kitchen.
  • Assist owner with research and development of new menu items.
  • Assist owner with expansion of new outlets both in Singapore and abroad.
Qualifications

Desirable: a degree in culinary arts (preferably in Mexican or Latin cuisine) and at least ten years of kitchen management/head chef experience.

Compensation

Head Chef: Monthly salary is $6500 - $8500 per month depending on experience.
