Overview

The Marine Parade Community Space Ltd (MPCSL) is a charity and IIPC established to look after vulnerable residents in Marine Parade.

The Head, Caregiver Support Network (CSN) will oversee the running and development of the CSN programme which was launched in 2022 to look after caregivers in the community. CSN is a programme of MPCSL.

Expectations

The Head role is a dynamic one, and candidates are expected to take ownership of the role and CSN’s development. The candidate must be keen on management responsibilities. They must take an interest in maintaining existing relationships with community partners, understand the community’s culture, and build/grow new relationships.

The role is also hands‑on, and requires the candidate to be adept at both strategic thinking and handling the day‑to‑day operations of the programme.

Qualifications

Candidate must have minimally a bachelor’s degree and have experience leading small teams. Candidate must have good written English capabilities. Experience in the social service sector is a bonus.

Candidate must be a team player and be supportive of his/ her colleagues. Candidate is required to take on a mentoring role towards his/ her subordinates.

Candidate must have a problem‑solving attitude and be able to take on tasks independently and complete them comprehensively. The candidate must show a heart for the cause.

Responsibilities

CSN Operations:

Guide the Programme Manager(s) on the day‑to‑day operations of the programme, including:

  • Managing new enrolments
  • Executing the activities of the programme
  • Managing the Caregiver Relief Fund

Supervise and mentor the Programme Manager(s) and ensure their positive development.

CSN Planning:

  • Oversee the strategic development of CSN, and ensuring it meets its intended targets
  • Plan and execute funded programmes and maintain close relationship with funders
  • Engage the CSN Sub‑Committee

Caregiver Clubhouse/ Resource Centre:

Oversee and manage the development of the upcoming Clubhouse/ resource centre.

CSN Admin:

  • Ensure sustained funding for the CSN programme
  • Be responsible for the use of funds ring‑fenced for CSN
  • Engage donors and preparing the necessary reports/updates for donors/grant bodies
  • Apply for new grants to fund CSN
