Head Barista / Full-Time Barista – Experience

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a barista role, supervisory or head barista position is a plus.
  • Filter coffee & espresso coffee experience required.
Head Barista / Full-Time Barista – Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve coffee, matcha and other beverages as well as food items in accordance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure that the coffee equipment is calibrated and maintained to produce consistent and high-quality coffee.
  • Preserve and uphold excellent levels of customer service.
  • General stock management of ingredients and products, liaising with management.
  • Able to perform cashier and order-taking duties.
  • Ensure the maintenance of equipment and flag for servicing or repairs when necessary.
  • General opening and closing of shop duties.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Management.

  • Eye for detail and a calm presence under pressure.

Salary starting from $2,200 - $3,200 depending on role and experience.

Head Barista

As Head Barista, you’ll lead our coffee team, ensuring quality, consistency, and creativity across our beverage program. You’ll also be spearheading the setup of our filter bar and shaping the future of coffee at ECHO through training and SOP development.

  • Develop and implement SOPs for our upcoming filter bar (e.g. V60, origami etc.).
  • Train new and existing baristas to ensure consistency and skill growth.
  • Conduct regular cuppings and tastings to maintain and elevate quality standards.
  • Work closely with management to refine the coffee program and introduce seasonal or experimental offerings.
  • Ensure daily operations run smoothly with an emphasis on quality and team collaboration.
