About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Hawker Assistant to join our team at Pek Kio Market in the Central Region. In this full‑time role, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced hawkers in the daily operations of our popular heritage hawker stall.

What you’ll be doing

1. Preparing and cooking a variety of traditional Singaporean hawker dishes according to our recipes and standards

2. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment and utensils are kept in good condition

3. Assisting with inventory management and restocking of ingredients and supplies

4. Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our patrons

5. Following all food safety and hygiene regulations to the highest standard

What we’re looking for

1. Previous experience working in a fast‑paced hawker or kitchen environment, preferably in a similar role

2. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety

3. Excellent communication and customer service skills

4. A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

5. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a dynamic environment
