Hardware Qualification & Development Support Team Engineer Responsibilities
  • Perform tool build integration testing and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure tool remains up for Process and other hardware qualifications.
  • Work with Clean Room Facilities group to specify facilities requirements and manage & troubleshoot any facilities related issues.
  • High level technical knowledge in at least one R&D discipline (Optic, Electronic, Motion, SEM): support R&D module owner in off & on tool module integration calibration and qualification; qualify module performance to spec (on & off tool); support R&D Development (C&F) activities.
  • Qualification of non‑system components (isolated from application). Define & execute qualification plans; define and qualify calibration procedures (off and on tool).
  • Performs all standard service activities through Tier I. Able to perform routine preventative maintenance within established timeframes. Completes quality repairs.
  • Responds to customer tool issues by communicating with other engineers and participating in escalation conference calls.
  • May participate in projects to reduce costs and increase uptime.
  • Verifies operational quality of system equipment. Assists senior engineers as needed.
  • Applies diagnostic techniques and uses documentation and test equipment with assistance from senior engineers.
  • Diagnoses and resolves technical problems. Uses training and experience to identify some process software or hardware related system problems.
  • Strives to perform BKMs. Uses knowledge management systems. Follows all IP guidelines.
  • Assumes responsibility for complete customer satisfaction within work area.
  • Assists in planning, communicating and coordinating support plans with customer management.
  • Complies with all safety procedures and consistently demonstrates safety as a value.
Requirements
