Job summary

A health and safety solutions provider in Singapore is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Specialist to oversee health and safety programs in compliance with Singapore regulations. Responsibilities include conducting safety audits, managing incidents, and formulating fire emergency plans. Qualifications

  • Must be a registered Fire Safety Manager certificate recognized by SCDF.
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer - Level C with minimum 5 years experience.

5.5 days per week

Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

Overview

The Health & Safety (H&S or EHS) Specialist cum FSM shall be required to act on behalf of the Authority by developing, implementing & overseeing the environment, health & safety programmes with the Workplace Safety & Health Act (WSH) Singapore requirements and enforcing fire safety rules and policing for fire safety measures within the Contract Area.

Responsibilities
  • Serving as the point of contact for all safety & health matters.
  • Conducting Safety Committee Management meeting with H&S Members on a regular basis including preparation of slides and minutes of meetings.
  • Managing and maintain records of the incidents and all circumstances and events occurring.
  • Conducting and coordinating audits & inspection of laboratories & their supporting facilities including ad-hoc site inspection and drafting of summary report.
  • Formulating and conducting fire emergency plans and evacuation procedures.
  • Ensuring that fire safety requirements stated in the fire emergency plan are complied with at all times.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Building/Engineering
  • Must be a registered Fire Safety Manager certificate recognized by SCDF
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer - Level C with minimum 5 years experiences (Degree) /minimum 10 years experiences (Diploma) in a similar position
