We’re redefining after-school time for primary school children, offering a comprehensive solution for working parents that includes life skills activities, enrichment programmes, and guided homework support. As a Growth Advocate, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and nurturing primary school children (Primary 1 to 6). Your responsibilities include ensuring the safety and supervision of children, and supporting their academic progress through homework supervision. You\'ll also facilitate life skills activities, academic & non-academic enrichment programmes, and maintain regular communication with parents. Additionally, you will help create a positive, safe, and conducive learning environment, contributing to the children’s holistic development.

Job responsibilities
  • Plan, implement and facilitate activities that stimulate creativity and build essential 21st-century skills like communication, growth mindset, creative problem-solving, and global citizenship.
  • Support in the care and guidance of students in an after-school environment.
  • Foster an inclusive environment where students feel safe to take risks, collaborate with peers, and form lasting connections.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to refine life skills programme curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Participate in or support activities and programs that enhance student learning and development.
  • Conduct lessons and enrichment sessions where needed to support students’ learning.
Homework Supervision
  • Guide primary school children (Primary 1 to 6) to complete daily homework and academic tasks.
  • Mark assessment worksheets and monitor progress.
Safety & Supervision
  • Ensure the safety and timely transfer of students from school to the student centre, including fetching them from designated assembly spots.
  • Oversee children\'s safety and well-being both within and outside the centre premises.
Parent & Guardian Communication
  • Liaise regularly with parents and guardians on children’s progress and behaviour.
Administrative & Ad-hoc Duties
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress.
  • Support centre documentation, observation logs, and contribute to programme development.
  • Manage the upkeep of teaching resources and centre premises.
  • Assist with any other duties as delegated by the Centre Manager.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in a related subject and/or field with minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a student care / child care environment
  • Prior experience working with children, preferably at the primary school level.
  • Passion for teaching and nurturing children.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Excellent work ethics, integrity, and a positive attitude.
  • IT-savvy and creative, with the ability to inspire and mentor children.
  • Ability to handle challenges with enthusiasm and maintain a growth mindset.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Interest in project-based learning and student empowerment is a plus.
  • Able to commit to working Mondays to Fridays (11am to 7.30pm)
