Job summary

BEATHCHAPMAN (PTE. LTD.) is seeking an experienced Group Compliance Director to advise the business, Senior Management and the Board.

The role strengthens and maintains the Group's compliance, governance and data protection frameworks, ensuring MAS/SGX and PDPA compliance and leading the compliance team across the region.

You will manage regulatory engagement, training and act as the primary data protection contact with regulators and auditors.

• Deliver Group-wide compliance training and supervise the compliance team.
• Lead the Group's data protection and privacy governance, including breach management.
• Serve as primary contact on data protection with regulators and auditors.
• Advise senior management, the Board, and regulators on compliance matters.

Job description

A diversified regional group with business interests spanning real estate, REIT management and hospitality is looking for an experienced Group Compliance Director.

This is a senior role acting as a trusted adviser to the business, Senior Management, and the Board, reporting to the Group Head of Legal & Compliance.

In this role, you will strengthen and maintain the Group's compliance, governance, and data protection frameworks, including for its REIT management business, driving adherence to MAS, SGX, and PDPA requirements.

You will manage regulatory engagement and reporting, oversee compliance risk assessments and incidents, deliver Group-wide compliance training, and supervise the compliance team.

You will also lead the Group's data protection and privacy governance, including breach management, privacy advisory, and serving as the primary point of contact on data protection matters with regulators and auditors.

The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of relevant regulatory compliance experience in REIT compliance, MAS/SGX regulatory roles, audit, or related governance functions within a regulated or listed environment.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of SGX Listing Rules, the Securities and Futures Act, MAS regulations, and PDPA requirements, with proven experience acting in a DPO or equivalent advisory capacity, and strong stakeholder management skills engaging senior management, boards, and regulators.
