Job summary

Prudential Services Asia is seeking an experienced actuary to analyze performance KPIs and support group and health products. The role involves pricing feasibility, market research, regulatory responses, and collaboration with modelling teams to enhance the Prushield Prophet model.

You will contribute to pricing adequacy, build statistical studies, and support ad-hoc investigations while advancing knowledge of the organization and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of actuarial experience in related roles.
• Qualified actuary from a recognized actuarial body.
• Degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent.
• Experience with Prophet systems and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Annual and monthly experience analysis.
• Collaborate with group business and reinsurers on group quotations.
• Perform product pricing and feasibility studies; conduct market research for product initiatives and profit testing.
• Prepare responses to regulators' queries and build statistical studies for initiatives.
• Develop studies to audit pricing assumptions and assist in ad-hoc investigations.
• Work with Modelling team to develop and maintain Prushield Prophet model.

Job Profile Summary:

Ensure proper documentation process for Group & Health Ensure compliance to department and regulatory requirements Support business as usual and ad-hoc work undertaken by the team which includes:

• Annual and monthly experience analysis
• Work with group business and reinsurers on group quotations
• Perform product pricing and feasibility studies, conduct market research for product initiatives and required profit testing
• Prepare responses to queries from regulators
• Build statistical studies for product initiatives
• Develop studies to investigate the adequacy of pricing assumptions
• Assist in any ad-hoc actuarial investigations and corporate initiatives from time to time
• Work closely with Modelling team to lead the development and maintenance of Prushield prophet model
• Continues to build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers

Who we are looking for:

Competencies & Personal Traits

• Good technical, analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to work independently
• Good working knowledge of Prophet systems, hands-on experience on actuarial valuation data processing and management
• Self-motivated and outcome oriented
• Good communication skills
• Experience with Prophet model and ALS, data processing/conversion software e.g. SQL/DCS is preferred

Working Experience

At least 5 years of relevant experience in actuarial roles or positions

Professional Qualifications

Qualified actuary from a recognized professional actuarial body
