A well-established property group with operations in Singapore, China, and Australia is seeking a versatile, dynamic, and responsible professional to join our team as Group Accountant, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Forecasting & Budgeting
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial forecasting models across multiple business units.
- Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare monthly group consolidation and management reporting packages.
- Audit & Compliance
- Assist in preparing year-end group audit schedules and consolidation deliverables.
- Manage year-end audits for all entities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, legal counsel, and tax advisors as needed.
- Technical Accounting & Projects
- Support the Financial Controller on technical accounting matters and policy implementation.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and business initiatives as required.
- Group GST Management
- Oversee the preparation and submission of GST returns for all entities within the group.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of GST accounts and compliance with local tax regulations.
- Monitor changes in GST legislation and assess their impact on group operations.
- Coordinate with tax advisors and regulatory bodies on GST-related matters.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on GST processes and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a recognized Professional Accounting Qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a group or regional role.
- Strong technical knowledge in group consolidation and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SQL-based accounting systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
