About the role

This traineeship within the Consumer Banking Group offers an exciting opportunity to work as a Product Owner Trainee, focusing on Wealth Platform application - FX Contextual Pricing (FXCP), a FX price engine powered by AI/ML to offer personalized FX rates. The trainee will collaborate closely with technology and business teams to deliver impactful solutions, gain exposure to front and back-office systems, and contribute to enhancing customer and employee journeys. This role provides hands‑on experience in the agile software development lifecycle, emphasizing product and project management, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility
  • Assist the Product Owner in managing Wealth Platform applications, working collaboratively with the technology team to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Develop an understanding of front‑office and back‑office systems that support the day‑to‑day operations of the Wealth Management business.
  • Assist in customer/employee immersion journeys and business requirements gathering.
  • Plan and prioritize the Book of Work for the technology team to ensure that the team is working on high‑priority tasks.
  • Analyze business requirements and ideate solutions to deliver better customer/employee journeys.
  • Review test scenarios and test results with the Quality Assurance team to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Identify and coordinate with various business stakeholders to prepare test cases and review results based on targeted deliverables.
  • Manage business and technology stakeholders to ensure relevant parties are updated on project progress and to timely clear any blockers.
  • Assist in documentation to ensure key project information and artifacts are clearly documented and properly archived.
  • Raise any material risks or issues in a timely manner and propose actionable solutions.
  • Manage regular cadences and ad-hoc meetings with proper follow‑ups.
Job Requirements
  • University Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Information Security/Information Systems, Data Science/Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Engineering.
  • Must Have:
  1. Able to work independently with strong resourcefulness and analytical skills
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with expertise in Excel, VBAs and Powerpoint
  3. Skilled in recording and tracking to ensure timely follow‑up on tasks and activities
  4. Self-starter with strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset
  • Good to have:
  1. Experience in using JIRA & Confluence tool will be considered favourably.
  2. Previous traineeship experience in project management or in banking.
  3. Some prior programming experience or knowledge will be helpful. E.g.: Python and Database knowledge
