Get to Know the Role

This role supports the Marketing analytics Manager and works with several teams within the area. The trainee will gain practical experience in data modelling, data pipelines, dashboarding, deriving insights, AI use cases, as well as access to some of the best mentoring available.

Grab offers exposure to practical analytics functions in a collaborative environment, where trainees can build foundational skills and contribute to everyday Data Science and Analytics operations.

This is a 6 months full-time onsite role based in Singapore as part of the GRIT Programme.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

The trainee will be involved in the following areas:

• Assist the marketing team to execute projects for providing insights based on business needs and product roadmaps.
• Help Sr. Data Scientists and Analysts to conduct deepdives and even build dashboards.
• Report to team members in near-real time what findings they are seeing from variations in the data and uncovering the “so-what?”

What Essential Skills You Will Need

1. Usage of Dashboarding tools like PowerBI to build robust dashboards.
2. Knowledge of SQL and Python for operations like data wrangling, data pipelines and building of models.
3. Ability to create insights from blending large sets together and arriving at the big picture from the smallest of details. “Storytelling with data” skills is a plus.
4. Knowledge of AI/LLMs skills.
